Food security and food production will be at the heart of Conservative agricultural and environmental policy. We will fix regulations and the regulators to make a fair system that works for rural and coastal communities. #CPC25

The Government has promised to publish its strategy to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls on three separate occasions. Each self-imposed deadline has come and gone with no plan. No more delays. No more excuses. Survivors and women deserve better than false promises.

Rachel Reeves doesn’t seem to get that we’re ā€˜in hock to the bond markets’ because of HER. She chose to borrow hundreds of billions more than the plans she inherited. In her first year alone she managed to increase borrowing by 70%. There’s only so much markets will stomach.

The OECD report is a damning verdict on Starmer's weak economic management. Growth is shrinking, inflation highest in the G7 - all driven by Labour’s tax hikes. Britain needs strong leadership and a clear plan. Only the Conservatives will cut spending and live within our means.

In the weeks and months ahead, I will continue to use my position on the Foreign Affairs Committee to hold this Government to account for the decision it has made. And I’ll continue to work collaboratively to do what I can to support bringing lasting peace to the region.

The Prime Minister calls this diplomacy. It’s not. It’s politics - driven by what he believes will appease his party, not what’s right.

The Prime Minister’s decision to recognise Palestine now is reactionary, and political with no plan and no conditions put in place for Hamas. And all whilst the hostages taken on October 7th remain in the captivity of Hamas.

…we made it clear that this must be contingent on the release of all the hostages and the establishment of Palestinian authorities in Gaza and the West Bank which are committed to peace - completely excluding Hamas and its supporters.

It is clear that immediate recognition will not move any closer to the peaceful outcome that we all seek. Instead it potentially prolongs the suffering in Gaza, betrays the hostages still in captivity, and ultimately rewards terrorism.

Like many, I want a quick & peaceful resolution to the Israel-Hamas conflict.Ā The holding of hostages & suffering of innocent people is intolerable. But I am deeply concerned by the Government’s decision to recognise a Palestinian state at this time. A thread šŸ‘‡

The new Yale report on stolen Ukrainian children shows why it’s critical that the Govt continues to support the work of @bringkidsbackUA to identify & return these children. This is a war crime, & we must work with our allies to hold Russia to account. https://t.co/xaBszbA7o1
