Retail sales are stalling, squeezed by Labour’s rising prices and higher taxes. These higher costs are choking households and businesses alike. We cannot afford Labour.

Rising unemployment is a flashing warning light for our economy. Jobs are the engine of productivity and prosperity. We Conservatives will always stand for the dignity of work, not managed decline.

Rising unemployment is a disaster for the economy and a tragedy for affected families. The growing crisis of young people not being able to find work is a prime example of Labour taking our country in the wrong direction. 😱

Excellent to welcome @KemiBadenoch to Grantham to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Grantham’s most famous daughter - Margaret Thatcher. From a grocer’s shop to the halls of power, her legacy continues to inspire so many throughout Lincolnshire and our country.

This is absolutely right @KemiBadenoch. Moral clarity matters, at home and abroad. Today we share relief for those reunited, and sorrow for those who will never return. We will never forget.

The hostages released today have shown superhuman endurance in the face of evil. The abduction of men, women and children on Oct 7th was a calculated cruelty to break body, mind and soul after inflicting the mindless horror of rape and murder. No cause, no grievance, can ever

One hundred years ago today, above a grocer’s shop on North Parade in Grantham, a life began that would leave a profound mark on our country and the world. Margaret Thatcher rose to our highest office, leading with conviction, clarity and unyielding courage. A century on, her

Housing is too expensive. The IFS labels Stamp Duty the UK’s most damaging tax, contributing to 20% fewer 25-34-year-olds owning homes compared to the year 2000, and lower household mobility. Scrapping this tax on aspiration will get Britain moving and building towards growth.

Rachel Reeves is wrong. UK borrowing costs are the highest in the G7 and way out of sync with our global competitors. Anti-growth taxes and increased borrowing under this Chancellor are to blame. When will she take responsibility?

As Rachel Reeves’ tax policies continue to add huge costs to UK businesses, the OECD now projects that UK inflation will average 3.5% this year, up from 2.5%, and the highest in the G7. When will the Chancellor wake-up and realise that she cannot tax her way to growth.

A disgrace. Labour’s runaway public sector pay deals are pushing prices up for everyone. Meanwhile, Sadiq Khan does nothing as Londoners suffer through long, devastating Tube strikes. Total failure.

This week’s tube strikes will not be a one off. Labour are passing laws to make sure that strikes are more frequent, last longer, and with less notice. We will all be held hostage by the trade unions. Do we really want more of this?

Labour MPs tonight voted through the Prime Minister’s Chagos Surrender Deal, giving away British territory to Mauritius while paying £35 billion for the privilege. When Labour put up taxes again at the Budget - just remember this is how they are CHOOSING to spend your money.

Restoring confidence needs more than words. The Govt needs a disciplined plan to put public finances on a sustainable footing. Global capital is mobile - if we can’t provide a stable environment for long-term investment, others will. It will be the British people who lose out.

Markets are saying this out loud yet Labour isn’t listening. Vanguard is one of many to publicly set out their concerns about the Govt’s inability to make the right choices. The economic illiteracy and determined refusal to face reality from Labour MPs is costing Britain
