Finally, we spent time at Camp Butmir, meeting the Commanders of @euforbih ALTHEA and NATO HQ Sarajevo, learning about their role in peacekeeping the military perspective on security and political dynamics in BiH.

We then met with sister committee members Safet Softić and Zlatko Miletić from the House of Peoples' Committee on Foreign and Trade Policy, Customs, Transportation and Communications; and Saša Magazinović from the House of Representatives.

We had discussions with a number of NGOs and media organisations about the challenges of disinformation in Bosnia & Herzegovina, including hearing from @BIRN_Network’s @detektor_ba about their work.

We also met with the High Representative for Bosnia & Herzegovina (@OHR_BiH) Christian Schmidt, as well as speaking with the country’s Foreign Minister @DinoKonakovic.

Earlier this month, we visited Bosnia & Herzegovina as part of our inquiry into ‘Disinformation diplomacy’, where we met with senior figures including the Bosniak member of the Presidency Denis Bećirović.

We also spent time at Montenegro’s Digital Forensic Centre, an organisation focussed on reducing the impact of disinformation on democratic processes and institutions in the nation, working alongside the State Electoral Commission where we also visited.

We then had some very interesting discussions with Montenegro’s Defence Minister Dragan Krapović, as well as Media and Culture Minister Tamara Vujović.

We also met with our sister committee, the Montenegrin Parliament’s Committee on International Relations and Emigrants.

This week we visited Montenegro for the first time as part of our inquiry into disinformation and diplomacy, as well as exploring the UK-Montenegrin relationship with a number of key figures including President @JakovMilatovic and Prime Minister @MickeySpajic.

Earlier this week we heard from Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Integration of Ukraine to the EU at @ua_parliament and @UnitedU4u member on what Ukrainian peace plans mean for the Ukrainian people and their future.

On Tuesday, Oleksandr Merezhko and Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, respective Chairs of the Verkhovna Rada Committees on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Relations, and Integration of Ukraine to the EU, told us they disagree with much of the proposed US peace plan.
