@luvu2golka
My mom once told me the Bible was the oldest book. I said that I thought the Epic of Gilgamesh was older. She said she hadn't heard of it, so it didn't count.
@GreatCheshire
Caffeine needs to be regulated like a drug. By the FDA's own rules, drugs are supposed to be regulated if they're either addictive, easily abused, or harmful if abused. Caffeine is easily the first two, and it is the 3rd for some people. I say this as a caffeine addict.
I haven't seen anyone point out the inclusion of Meril in this final page.
"The power of a single man can change the world."
I'm hoping Ochako is that single person.
@neitotopia
I wonder if that's a coincidence. Ashido sounds like acid, that's intentional. The Mi in her given name is written with 三, which can also be read as San, which is Japanese for acid.
Amino acids make up proteins, but if that's intentional that's neat.
@hoshiyukimethod
Well, his hero name is "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight", he's probably been waiting a long time to just let loose and go eff'n crazy.
@karriehiggins
I wish there were reprecutions for that. I had a patch of dry skin that was cracking so bad that it was bleeding. Multiple doctors said it was eczema. Eventually a new PA did a swab.
It was a staph infection. Antibiotics cleared it right up.
For my upcoming ecchi-style UA University fic, genderbent featuring lady Deku (Shizuku), I'm going to add a few women characters to the school so there's a full group of 20 ladies.
Definitely adding Mirko and Mt Lady to the school, which leaves 4 slots. Everyone, vote your four.
@SerotheZ
@MugenKampaWorks
A second Sports Festival would have been so cool to show off character's development (and I don't mean strength, I mean character development).
@Das_Hazel
First they cut the literature analysis classes.
Then they stuffed our eyeballs full of algorithmically driven content.
Then they tricked a generation into confusing art and real world morality.
@jnoelmanuel
I used to go to Yaoi-con every year. Every woman attending that I interacted with was queer. There were even a couple of people who came out as trans men. It never seemed like a straight woman scene.
@fzerodegrees
I was theorizing earlier that it might be because bullying is real to more people, it's something they experienced, so it's personal. Also, liking villains for being bad feels different than liking a hero who did bad things, at least for certain people.
Bakugou is cool though.
@jigokuseiko
I feel like it was strongly inferred. Horikoshi likes to leave a lot for the reader to construct, rather than telling you every little thing.
I don't really see
#Togachako
as queer baiting. Himiko is bi, that's canon and has always been so. Ochako is a hero, Himiko is a villain. Himiko's affection being reciprocated is a tall order because they're on opposite sides. Ochako's bene crushing on Izuku forever...
@Tyler42283810
@JaegerTwice
I love this plot line. They're foils for each other. Toga is Ochako's dark mirror. And, it additionally mirrors Deku vs Shigaraki. Toga and Ochako can help each other, and that's so interesting.
@EriCheri3
Bakugou was the "antagonist" of the first 3 arcs, but he was also 14 when he said the worst things. I'm not even a BkDk shipper, but the hate for the ship needs to stop. Friends to enemies to lovers is a total ship trope, I can see why so many people like it.
@skyebatungbakal
Selfcest would have the same problems genetically? How would someone get their doppelganger pregnant unless they were somehow a dual fertile intersex person (and I'm not sure that's possible outside of some specific chimerism)?
@AChillGhost
One of my old coworkers was Japanese, and his wife was Spanish. He didn't speak Spanish and she didn't speak Japanese, but they both spoke Portuguese. They didn't learn Spanish, Japanese, or English until a year into their marriage.
Communication is amazing.
@GoodReddit
I almost threw my roommate out of the house for leaving his window open with no screen (he never told me the screen broke) and letting my cat out. Luckily I found my cat.
@TonyPajama
Every accusation is an admission. It's projection all the way down. They can't imagine other people not wanting to do the same things they do, because they see themselves as "good people".
@eirianqueer
I used to go to Yaoi-con for years. Most of the people there were queer. Many came out as trans men. Others were lesbian or bi or ace. Queer media helps queer acceptance, both within and outside.
@YasserMontasse5
The leaked said Aizawa said it "might damage her quirk", not definitely would. But it also means we won't be relying on her for anything more soon.
@subbbyprincesss
Just posting this because I was misremembering who was making whom drink.
I feel like some of the three dumbateers have been drawn in pretty gay pictures before.
@Veeren_Jubbal
He died of an Acute subdural hematoma, blood on the brain. That's usually caused by a head injury. They are more risky in older people, people on blood thinners, and people who abuse alcohol. Any theorizing about how it happened is just that; he could have slipped in the shower
@LeftAtLondon
I walked my uncle into agreeing that we should have medicare for all by getting him to accept that having necessities be sold for profit creates an incentive to take advantage of people
Unfortunately, people only listen to people they respect.
@neon_heartbeat
@doctorbaixue
Because they read "average life expectancy was X" and forget that includes infant and child mortality (which was HIGH) because math education is bad.
@GambitXIII
I had to keep explaining this to people who kept saying that Ochako's boots were impractical and she should wear flats.
I had to share the stiletto Olympics to show that people can be mobile in heels if they train.
@TGuy817
@DrewGamblord
I honestly think the core of a lot of conservatives are people who cannot conceptualize that other people think and act differently than them. It's all projection. Anyone who is different from them must be bad.
@_watsu
@envinyon
This is why I'm starting to support artists owning their own copywrites. Not sure how to make that work, but that's my default starting point now.
@caterstooth
In high school, we had an anime club. One of the things the club teacher did to make it a school club was teach us cultural things. The seniors in the club were the ones bringing in fan subs and would add cultural context from time to time too.
Fellow lesbians (and fem leaning sapphics), who are your favorite F/M ships? I'm curious. I seem to have a type (gentle, chivalrous, protective, not super macho, pretty but strong).
Mine are:

@ladolcevolk
Rule of 3. She saved him from falling at the entrance exam (act 1), she saved him from falling during the interclass battle when black whip manifested (act 2), and now she could save him at the end (act 3).
@GambitXIII
MHA is great at incremental escalation. The series takes a hard turn at USJ. All the action before that was lower stakes. Izuku and Bakugou were in danger with the sludge villain, and Izuku was in danger (because of his quirk) at the entrance exam and the battle trial...
@lizcourserants
I think a lot of this is guilt and projection. "Doth protest too much". It's like the conservatives who rant and rave about gays and then turns out they're having gay affairs or going after their pages.
@GambitXIII
Yeah, Ochako looks to Izuku as an example of how to be a hero. She's not fixated on him just because she loves him; that came about second. She has way more to her character. Her drive, her fire, her determination, the way she sacrifices her happiness for others.
@DaphnaOrenM
@fuckyeats
But if you're too similar, that's incest. It's also pedophilia if you knew them when they were under 18, even if you were under 18 too.
@Chilly_MIV
@haylsho
For real. Anxiety shouldn't be an emotion. In the first movie, depression was caused by sadness and happiness not working together. Anxiety would be a mixture of fear and disgust taking over.
#MHA395
#MHASpoilers
I don't think it's a "kill your gays" moment. Those stories play up the "wrongness" of the same sex attraction or relationship. This is a tragic unfulfilled romance that frames love and acceptance as something good, something beautiful, something that saves.
@Tadbitspecial
The series has been heavy since the beginning. Bakugou telling Izuku to jump off the roof and Izuku actually acknowledging it in his mind was the first issue/episode. Shigaraki trying to kill Tsuyu was the end of the first season, and we quickly learned what the nomu were after
@krbkgou
Sharing a "themed" hotel room on i-island...
They feel very couply to me. Krbk and MomoJirou are unspoken couples to me, just waiting for the last issue to be canonized hopefully. Himiko and Tiger give my queer heart hope for krbk.
@skyebatungbakal
I think what we're seeing is a group of kids raised in evangelical christian families who would never have been on the internet pre-social media. They've realized they're queer, but they still have a black and white concept of morality from their upbringing.
@artkailin
A coworker once asked me why I kept my nails trimmed. I said that I'm married to a woman, and the slow look of realization on her face was priceless.
@TeresaC2027
I think he realizes that if she touched him, he'd lose. 3rd Law says firing off an explosion while weightless (and effectively massless too, since she can swing weightless stuff easily) would rocket him out of the arena.
