Do you know how hard it is for an unemployed adult to get food stamps?? In NC even if you do qualify & can keep up with the hoops they make you jump through you only get ~$291 that's less than $10 a day less than $75 a week.
Food stamps shouldn't cover prepared foods at all. They should cover things like produce, meat, cheese, bread, and rice. If theyre not working, they have time to cook.

You can't be anti-carceral state & pro lawyer. The vast majority of lawyers in the judical system are prosecutors & judges. Even defense attorneys often work to help the state. Not to ment they profit off of the carceral state. I'm sorry but lawyers are not the saviors.

I have something very controversial to say. While I vehemently oppose this line of thought this has been the role of women in marriage for as long as marriage has existed. The issue is that we have romanticized marriage & lied to ourselves that love is involved. Instead of.
