Something odd about that scene too is Ragdoll and Stain’s vestige being nowhere to be found despite being the only other characters we kinda care about that would have been satisfying to see get to one up AFO, they just get erased offscreen lol

This scene feels emblematic to how little Horikoshi cared about Hawks’s writing post PLW since his popular guy persona was meant to be a facade, the idea of his vestige rallying others to rebel could have been interesting but this isn’t a character moment, it’s a joke/fanservice
When a character is mischaracterized for so long that it just becomes their new baseline characterization
