We uncovered a germline-specific pathway where TEX38 stabilizes and localizes the testis-enriched palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC19 to the plasma membrane. In turn, ZDHHC19 catalyzes the modification of essential male factors such as ARRDC5, ensuring proper sperm head morphogenesis.
