We've written a survey (w/ T. Várady & P. Salvi) on multi-sided surfaces in CAD: https://t.co/eoEikFIOXr This has a long history, w/ lots of developments recently by our group & others. We wanted to organize the sprawling literature and make this area of research more accessible.

Interpolate between two matrices, plot eigenvalues in the complex plane. Gershgorin's theorem guides matrices design so eigenvalues form a Christmas tree. Yellow stars are the lights. Happy Holidays! Made with #python #numpy #matplotlib

Yes. Software engineers will all go away. There will be a new profession of people whose only job is to tell the machines what they should do in a manner that’s efficient and precise.

Software engineer as a career is coming to a close. It may be 5 years or it may be 10 but we can all feel it, the end is beginning. May we go out in glory, and joy, and celebration for the end of a wonderful industry. We’ll have a lot of fun in these last few years

The "bitter lesson" for physical hardware is that you actually have to build it, that nothing else really matters

My default workflow! This setup achieves best possible task accuracy after fixing constraints on the inference process. PDR achieves pareto frontier: "draft in parallel → distill to a compact workspace → refine" https://t.co/4Sca6dG1Uo

One workflow that seems to work really well on claude code is: Parallel Design > Distill/Summarize > Parallel Refine > implement Spawn 16 agents to design / plan topic X with detailed plan on integration Ask to spawn 16 agents to summarize each others work and check for

I taught neural nets at MIT in the 2000s. My class was in Brain & Cog Sci not EECS. The latter had trouble accepting even machine learning.

At one point, MIT thought neural networks weren’t worth teaching in intro #AI. Trends change. Fundamentals don’t.

Another rather useful Qwen image lora. It automatically selects the subject and makes a nice clean mask out of it. Ain't that useful? Sounds even more useful than Qwen Image Layered! https://t.co/zGhhjIzxQp

This might be the best intro to 3D graphics I've ever seen: https://t.co/c5IhOP09Bz Runs entirely in the browser which is accessible to everyone, and breaks it down step-by-step from basics to rendering more complex model.

Today’s hobby project: Prototyped a real-time room scanning system with live sharing to XR devices. Explore scanned spaces in 3D on XR (not flat 2D screens) and share them with remote users for spatial remote collaboration. #metaquest #augmentedreality

I’m happy to share our new paper, “KerJEPA: Kernel Discrepancies for Euclidean Self-Supervised Learning”: https://t.co/rB77RkzxzC This work builds on the LeJEPA framework by reinterpreting its regularization objective through the lens of kernel discrepancies.
