while i’m generally a verification minimalist when it comes to most of these things on chain (leave it up to the free market and workers will be incentivized to do whats right!) i don’t really see TEE as the option here for use cases with the most rigorous security requirements
alt-L1s could have fought off L2s by (correctly) pointing out the practical security properties
today, ZK teams need to fight against the TEE narrative like their life depends on it. if TEEs are considered sufficiently secure then ZK won't be competitive on any dimension

quite different use cases honestly. TIG focuses very specifically on algo optimizations. i think there is a ton of value in trying to do one thing very very well. less tradeoffs in design when your scope is focused.

definitely non-trivial. obviously the access to a lot of low cost power is a huge requirement that miners already have, but the rest of the infrastructure is completely different and significantly more difficult to setup. need to be hosted in cooled/clean environments, networking

i think we are still a bit away from AGI (min. 5yrs) but i do think some sort of pseudo-Manhattan Project for AI Safety should be a very legitimate conversation (for people that are far smarter than me)
AI risk 1: existential risk. My p(doom) is around 0.1.
You don't have to buy this story, but IMO it's worth worrying about.

While Natix was my inspiration for DCNs, many projects will capitalize on edge-computing improvements and the high price tag on AI datasets. Through distributed coordination, DCNs create unique and valuable datasets that are in high demand but otherwise impossible to generate.
