Been thinking about hardware business models and innovation lately. When a business is highly innovative and products are improving rapidly, business models are focused on selling products and upgrades. Think iPhone in the early years. Airplanes through the dawn of the jet age.

@PlebianZoomer @EricLDaugh PlebianZoomer The $9.4B DOGE cuts package (H.R. 4, Rescissions Act of 2025) rescinds unobligated federal funds from USAID operating expenses, international aid programs, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (supporting NPR/PBS). It advances government efficiency by

To honor Memorial Day in 1988, President Reagan said, “To keep faith with our hallowed dead, let us be sure, and very sure, today and every day of our lives, that we keep their cause, their hope, their prayer, forever our country's own.”

Biden's EV subsidies reinforce white privilege and won't save the climate. Here's a better plan:

The lessons of the past two years for me was the complete and utter destruction of institutional credibility and the politicization of truth itself, by the very institutions (media) tasked to uncover it. My sense of the world broke in a way that hasn't recovered (and won't).

One of the things I see in poor neighborhood is number of kids who get sad by idea of holidays --- because school is a safer, more functional, & more enjoyable place to be than home You might believe schools shouldn't play that role, but the reality is it's one they now do.

Two of the best essays of the year--The Bullshit & The Power and the Silence--were written by @walterkirn and published on his @SubstackInc. These micro-publications don't yet have the distribution they deserve. What they have is quality.

So, here we go. I’m moving out of the Bay Area. This is obviously not a fresh opinion; but the framing may be slightly controversial. My biggest reason is that I believe the Bay Area is no longer the best crucible for the American Dream. 🧵

An American Company will not permit us to contradict those who regularly contradict themselves and often do so on behalf of America’s chief strategic rival. How did this naked and needless self-destruction get normalized to become not only possible, but actually routine?

This is really amazing. Countless smug liberals -- @HeerJeet, @chrislhayes, Vox's @imillhiser -- spent hours maligning and sneering at Eric Adams as a Trumpian fraud for questioning the NYC election results. When those questions were completely vindicated, they slinked away.
Pundits at 5:30pm: It's some despicable "Donald Trump shit" for Eric Adams to question the veracity of these election results NYC Board of Elections at 10:30pm: Turns out we actually did add 135,000 fake votes
