What happens when things go wrong matters more when flying. @TurkishAirlines is the worst offender here. 1) Call centers are almost impossible to reach, 2) airport staff are rude &don't care, 3) almost impossible to get online support unless you write an angry tweet like this.

Beinart is so committed to "two-sides"-ing that he happily crosses into crazyland. Some claims are simply wrong - and not an "equally legitimate narrative". When we ban a crime why should we care about the criminals upset by police who enforce the law?.
I know some Jewish kids feel threatened by "intifada," which references uprisings that have involved anti-Jewish violence. But if we ban the phrase, what do we say to Palestinian students who feel threatened by the Israeli flag, emblem of a state that is killing their relatives?.

@mehdirhasan Hard to imagine. None of the UN agencies have dared to operate anywhere near the frontline in Ukraine, and Russia just bombed hospitals, food and medicine warehouses without any warning. And it keeps doing that.

Super sketch to suggest Holocaust allows Europeans to "instinctively" understand that Jews are committing Genocide. Occam's razor suggests something closer to the opposite. It shouldn't come as a surprise that this person thinks the Jewish state has no right of self-defense.
Fellow Europeans, Italians, Germans: after the Holocaust, we should instinctively know that Genocide starts with dehumanizing the Other. If Israel's current attack agst Palestinians doesnt prompt our strong reaction, the darkest page of our recent history has taught us nothing.
