ANNOUNCEMENT! I have officially joined the land of Substack. It was probably inevitable. But I'm very excited about the opportunities the platform affords. And most of all, looking forward to making insufferable people's heads explode

If you seriously think Trump was negging Miriam Adelson today, by having the Knesset give her a standing ovation for her tireless pro-Israel advocacy, you are really dumb. He was just telling a version of the same anecdotes he’s told for ages, to underscore how influential she is
Take note of which Trump comments provoke controversy, and which don't. Trump said this week that he "gave" the Golan Heights to Sheldon and Miriam Adelson, his top funders, who came to the White House "almost more than anybody." Not a peep about this brazen admission of graft

The fact that all the most hardcore pro-Israel people are ecstatic about this "peace" deal raises some questions about what kind of "peace" we're dealing with here
Our President of Peace. Thank you President @realDonaldTrump!

Like when he took $2 billion from the Saudi sovereign wealth fund (meritocracy in action) and claimed he was going to be "out of the spotlight" so he could "focus on his firm" -- then came back and ran the Trump Admin's Middle East portfolio anyway. He made the impossible happen
I am constantly in awe of my brother’s determination and resilience to make the impossible happen. Today, especially so 🤍

Funniest thing about this: Trump saying that before him, US presidents were under “a lot of pressure” with respect to Israel -- but the pressure was to REFRAIN from being aggressively supportive of Israel. Then he came in and didn’t yield to that pressure

Trump could've done this "deal" at any point over the past nine months -- instead he chose to blow up the previous ceasefire, expedite heavy munitions to Israel, "greenlight" their pulverization rampage, and collude with Netanyahu to bomb Iran. So spare us the idiotic sanctimony
@mtracey Without Trump theyd all be dead

Pete Hegseth wants to frame his insane press-restriction policy as some kind of rebuke to TDS Libs, but any media outlet that has a shred of journalistic integrity, including right-wing outlets, would be obliged to oppose the policy (whichever administration tried to impose it)
Newsmax on Pentagon press policy: "Newsmax has no plans to sign the letter. We are working in conjunction with other media outlets to resolve the situation. We believe the requirements are unnecessary and onerous and hope that the Pentagon with review the matter further.”

Man, you are dumb. He repeated what he's already said multiple times: that despite being "busy," he's installing himself as "Chairman," because it's just that important. And he said the deal is so great not JUST because it includes "nation-building," but for other reasons as well
@mtracey Literally says in this video he is NOT going to be the chairman because he is too busy. Also says the deal is a great deal because it is NOT “nation building.” Amazing how you’ve used mental gymnastics to make him say the precise opposite of what he actually said.

When Trump declared in February that the US would "take over" Gaza, this was widely dismissed as a "joke." But... it clearly wasn't. He's appointing himself "Chairman" of Gaza's newly-installed governing authority, and saying he'll impose "de-militarization" and "nation-building"

There's only one way to stand against Trump and MAGA Republicans... vote for the local party bosses in Hudson County, New Jersey. Lol

While toadies call for him to be given the Nobel Peace Prize, Trump goes to the Knesset and brags about bombing Iran. He repeats the Mossad-manufactured line that Iran was "two months" away from getting a nuclear weapon, and says he'll put Kushner in charge of a new Iran "deal"

Today on "Meet the Press," JD Vance said Kushner was given "a remarkable amount of authority" by Trump. How come this delegation of Remarkable Authority was never announced or delineated by the administration? Anything to do with Jared's massive financial interests in the region?
Jared Kushner doesn't even hold any official government position. Yet there he is tonight in Tel Aviv, representing the US in a critical diplomatic capacity

What exactly will these 200 US troops be doing to "ensure that Hamas does not attack innocent Israelis"? Vance doesn't answer. It's also not true that US troops have been stationed in Israel for "decades." Vance just says that to make this new deployment seem totally unremarkable

A good test of political foresight and acumen: this time last year, did you find it totally inconceivable that Trump would actually *escalate* US-backed warfare against Russia, and militarily "support Ukraine" in ways the Biden Administration resisted? If "yes," you fail the test

Anyone with a public profile gets these kinds of threatening messages all the time. Why does yours entitle you to a TV press conference with the Attorney General, and an instant criminal prosecution? Also, "man" is an accurate word to describe the alleged sender of the letter
The left-wing terrorist who committed a crime by threatening to kill my family is simply called “a man” by NBC. But I’m framed as “a conservative influencer with deep ties to the Trump administration” This is coded language by NBC to signal that my family deserved it.
