The Ford government cut nurses’ and other healthcare workers’ wages, sickened lots of people, and killed some, too—all to create the crisis in hospitals we see now.
All this Ford did to make public healthcare a source of private profit for his rich friends.
It would be challenging, because Ontario owns the relevant data, but I think it would be possible to model out how many people they’ve actually killed dead in order to justify privatizing healthcare in Ontario.
I don’t think that’s an ICES report we’ll see any time soon.

Minutes after being told that being ever-ready to offer hybrid classes is a universal design principle by the top of the hierarchy at my university, I also was told that protecting immunocompromised people on campus via masking is definitely less important than individual choice.
Shoutout to all the corporate and academic diversity and inclusion initiatives that openly exclude the disabled if their disabilities make them vulnerable to highly contagious potentially debilitating viruses. I mean you can’t include EVERYONE am I right? 🦠 🦠 ❤️
