Chief MacSween is 100% right on this. I'm fed up, as are our residents, with a system that lets us down over and over again. It's time to protect our people and not the criminals!.
Once again, we're seeing cases where individuals released on bail are involved in serious crimes within our communities. To ensure public safety and protect our officers, we need a bail system that effectively addresses repeat violent offenders while maintaining public.

I am aware of a shooting that has taken place at 91 Lebovic Campus Drive in our community and I am currently on site in the neighbourhood. @YRP is investigating the incident. I am grateful for the first responders who have taken swift action this morning.

After 608 days, the bodies of Judy Weinstein and Gadi Haggai have finally been returned to their family. I extend my deepest condolences to all who knew them. May their memories be a blessing. We want to see the rest of the hostages brought home, now.
