Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) has announced that their members will not be at work on Friday, November 4, 2022. As a result, the TDSB has no option but to close all schools for in-person learning for all students on that day. Read more:

The City of Toronto has declared a major snow storm condition.

A Winter Storm Warning continues for the City of Toronto. As always, check back first thing in the morning for any updates on possible cancellations or closures.
As a tentative agreement has not yet been reached, OSSTF (secondary teachers & education workers) is proceeding with the previously announced one-day walkout for Wednesday, December 4. As a result, TDSB secondary schools are closed to students.
The TDSB flags will be at half-mast in honour of the 215 children whose remains were uncovered in a mass unmarked grave in Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc. As we continue the work, there cannot be reconciliation without truth.
Today, on Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day, we mark the anniversary of the end of the war in Sri Lanka and honour the innocent people who lost their lives and the many who were displaced. We also recognize that today is a day of trauma and grief for Toronto’s Tamil community.

The TDSB is doing everything we can to support Ontario's efforts to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and is working closely with the Ministry of Government & Consumer Services to collect any materials (masks, gloves, etc.) that can help the province.

The Premier announced today that students will not be returning to school on April 6 as scheduled.
We are awaiting additional information and will update our community as soon as possible.
BREAKING: Premier Doug Ford says that schools will not reopen on April 6, as scheduled. "Do I believe and does the minister believe that April 6 the kids will be going back to school? The kids wont be going back to school on April 6," he says.
We are heartbroken to learn that 14 students & 1 teacher have tragically lost their lives in a mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas today. We grieve for the victims, their families & their entire community following this senseless act of violence.
As the Winter Storm Warning has ended for Toronto, the cleanup is well underway and there is no significant snowfall expected for today, all school buses are running (although delays are possible) and schools are open.
CUPE has issued a 5-day strike notice meaning a strike could begin as early as Monday, November 21 should an agreement not be reached. We are currently finalizing information and will share updates with families as soon as possible.
