Saadiq has walked the walk and consistently shown up for marginalized students as a school board trustee. Edmonton-Ellerslie would gain a community-embedded advocate and qualified representative in the Legislature.

Over on Facebook, it looks like EPSB Trustee @SaadiqSumar's profile is looking quite orange. Today happens to be the last day for candidates to enter the Alberta NDP nomination race in Edmonton-Ellerslie. If he is entering the race, it is hard not to see him as the frontrunner.

This morning I resigned as Edmonton Public School Board’s Ward C Trustee. Given the political climate and the erosion of school board autonomy I can no longer serve my constituents or the needs of the division’s students, families and staff.
