@JuliaHB1 Cue the angry mob shouting about the benefits of WFH. I’ve WFH since 2020 and not only am I definitely 20-30% less productive, so are my colleagues. Great work/life balance but terrible for productivity.

@AyoCaesar Worth noting that the Met is almost an entirely different org/culture than the rest of the police. The Met does terrible harm to the reputation of the police, which is filled with hard working and under valued staff that risk their life everyday for us.

@MartinSLewis @bbc5live Found a large bag of money under a loose floorboard about two years ago. Kids went crazy. Currencies from across Asia, total value ended up about £10 but didn’t have the heart to tell them. Annoyed with the previous owners, so I put it back where we found for the next people!

@kiwiseddon @MarinaPurkiss The economic impact of Brexit is almost impossible to model (accurately) and also needs to be viewed over a 10-20 year time horizon. We got independence and most of us have happily moved on.

@AyoCaesar Yeah ok that’s fair, but it should also be acknowledged that the force regularly abandons good officers when they’ve done nothing wrong. Morale within the force has never been lower, pay is crap and the risk has never been higher. We need to be careful what we wish for.

@MrJedi66 @JuliaHB1 It depends, it’s not less work but rather less effective work - my role like many is linked with other people, and collaboration, teamwork etc are more effective in person. Also I find the office an amazing learning & teaching environment.

Won’t be long now. Our feeble minded politicians are going to be pushing this soon. I’ve been vaccinated, and think it was the right decision at the time. Not getting anymore though unless we see a really nasty variant that starts killing younger people.

Private schools exist to reproduce inequality. They are designed to give the children of those who can afford to pay a leg up on the children of those who can’t. All children should have an equal right to get on in life.

I have a busy home life which can impede more if I’m WFH. I’m more motivated to contribute when I can see/feel impact. A physical space helps me have brand loyalty.
