It is right that these revelations are investigated. We need a total clampdown on private lobbying. Profiteers should not be allowed to use their connections to influence government policy. Government should serve the people, not large corporations or the wealthy.
🔴 BREAKING: Watchdog probing Starmer aide’s secret lobbying. The findings of our extensive investigation into Varun Chandra has prompted the lobbying watchdog to launch an investigation into his former firm, Hakluyt & Company. Find out more here:.

Take a look.Sign up.Build a campaign to Reinstate the Whip.
Compass, with @PeoplesMomentum and @OpenLabour, is calling for the whip to be reinstated to the four suspended MPs. It is time to build constructive and respectful relationships with all backbenchers and the whole of the Labour Party.

Good, but why not stop all big corporations giving big financial donations? It's a profound corruption of democracy when money counts more than millions of votes.
EXCL: Ministers are planning to close loopholes that could allow foreign money to influence UK elections, with a crackdown on illegitimate donations through shell companies and new tests on political donors. All the details 👇🏼.

Britain 2025 . When ordinary folk protest about genocide they face police action. But when the governing class f**k up,, imperil lives and cost hundreds of millions of pounds it's all swept under the carpet. No one sacked, prosecuted, held to account, or even named.
EXCLUSIVE: Sit down with Defence Sec on Afghan data leak. All but confirms person responsible is still working for HMG.Refuses to say if anyone has been sacked.Says he wouldn’t have taken out super.BUT can’t rule out superinjunction use in future .

The right to protest is a central part of democratic life. The labour movement is speaking out against the authoritarian turn of the British state.
Today @NEUnion have issued a statement defending the right to peaceful protest. It is signed by 22 General Secretaries. We're calling for charges against Alex Kenny, Sophie Bolt, Chris Nineham and Ben Jamal to be dropped – all were arrested at a protest for Palestine in January

I wouldn't be seen dead in any of these. My task is to speak for the British working class not Corporate Britain. Simples!!.
EXC Labour MPs have privately raised alarm at the number of sponsored corporate receptions for backbenchers arranged by the party. MPs received invitations that include explicit advertisements for property developers or outsourcing firms -sent to MPs directly from the PLP office.

Yes it's outrageous that employers pay poverty wages, in order to increase their profits and wealth.
Outrageous that someone on benefits can receive £25,000 a year - more than what two million people earn on the minimum wage after tax (@thetimes). This isn't just economically unsustainable, it's morally wrong. We should be rewarding work, not dependency.
