Now out in @NatureComms! 🤩 "Plakoglobin is a mechanoresponsive regulator of naive pluripotency" I can't express how excited I am to see it published! I think I now have more questions than answers, but I guess that's good when doing science! 😇 https://t.co/1oEPJt6wpx

Take a look at our last article! We managed to get iPS derived chimeric animals, healthy and with germline transmission 🐇 A wonderful result, thanks to the hard work of all the team. Bonus: lots of beautiful embryos stainings...

Team @BernaSozen_ is on fire (again)! 🥳
Our latest out today @Nature! We revisit a century-old theory and show that metabolic gradients work hand-in-hand with genetic&signalling instructions to shape the embryo. Glucose isn't just an energy source, it acts as a major conductor of the body plan🍬 https://t.co/mfx6Hk7nma

Not to be missed! :)
Delighted to host Makis Ampartzidis @hPSCenthusiast in our Department next week! Makis is an old master student from our lab, who finished his PhD at UCL. He did some incredibly exciting work on apical constriction of spina bifida hiPSCs - very much looking forward to his talk!

...and my personal favourite: "Ultimately, however, as with any conservation measure, continued protection of suitable habitats for wildlife will be essential for maintaining a healthy, resilient and biodiverse planet."

Thanks a lot for the invitation! It was the first time that I tried to combine my work on pluripotency and our conservation work at @hojanueva in one talk ☺️
Great turnout for Cafe Synth last night with fantastic talks from Timo Kohler @t_n_kohler @CamBiochem @hollfelderlab showing us the marvels of microfluidics and taking us to the Amazon Forest followed by Mark Davison @GrantInstrument with new approaches to Temp Control

Our new work is out today! Long time in the oven, this has been a really fun and informative collaboration led by Dhanur Iyer in my lab and @HK_Heidar from @NRivron lab. We show that human embryonic cells have an inherent potential to regulate their developmental timing.
