So Trump ordered the government to buy mortgage backed securities to lower mortgage rates, and it started to work, then Trump prosecuted the Fed chair and threw tariffs at Europe and Canada over Greenland. Mortgages spiked right back up, but at least we own a lot of loans!
We did it. We managed to get the 30-year fixed right back to the 6.21% average last seen right before the MBS buying program was unveiled. Congrats everyone! 🥳
