Look at Gary’s decades long personal obsession with denying all the definitive studies on #CTE. Give this a listen. Short clip of Gary Bettman interview from 2023 after several definitive clinical studies were published finding a link between repetitive head impacts and #CTE.

Problem is, you can’t tell Gary Bettman his league has a problem. The defiance and arrogance only grows.

Insurance industry is waking up to the costs of #concussion & #CTE. They will no longer insure the AFL. Pro sports knows the cost, which is why they fight. NFL settlement has already paid $1.65B, when they thought it'd only be $765M total. More CTE than expected... Not good.

Hearing there was a heated exchange between Gary and a NHL GM during the GM meetings. The GM said to Gary that it appears the league has relaxed its standards on head shots. Gary was irate with the question and blasted the GM. This GM has my vote for GM of the Year.

We are quickly figuring out how repetitive head impacts directly lead to progressive brain damage, but are any sports listening?

In the 50s, experts aligned with the tobacco industry insisted there was no proven link with cancer, same for asbestos in the 60s & 70s, some for fossil fuels and global heating in the 80s. This is a well-established playbook
