Doctors have been repeatedly misrepresented by the government during this industrial dispute so it's good that these false claims about @thomasdolphin have now been corrected. We are grateful to Mr Anderson for his contribution to our strike fund. Please repost.

On the 6th October 2023 I shared a link on X to a Mail Online article entitled ‘Militant union leader at the heart of doctors strikes is a Labour activist who boasted of charging the NHS for a strike cover shift. I accept that my words were misleading as the subject in question

Memo to the media: Please don't say inflation is at a 40-year high without also mentioning that corporate profits are at a 70-year high. Give the people the full picture.

I’ve seen this a few times. While I agree aspirations and resilience are important for everyone (& living in poverty for decades literally alters brain function)… there’s no way to solve mass poverty without addressing the root problems of our economic policies that create them.

MI6 boss warns of data traps. I wonder if his advice applies also to NHS data that our political masters seem keen to sell.

93k NHS staff vacancies. £6bn spend on temporary staff to fill gaps. 55% of staff working unpaid extra hours each week. 44% saying they've felt ill with work related stress. NHS desperately needs long term workforce planning. Govt must make this happen this week. R/T if you agree

A comment I overheard: Given everyone else on the planet uses Twitter to get better customer service - why are we so reluctant to public out how crap our suppliers are

It's public money that we spend. If the product / service is brilliant, why should anyone be shy or keen to gag critical feedback? Why won't suppliers want to know where improvements are needed?

#mentalhealth colleagues please take the time to complete this survey - previous Twitter conversations have highlighted the variation in experience and frustrations of many with the electronic record they have to use - so help us get greater insight into this. Thank you!

Adding a related phenomenon: diagnosis of Bipolar Affective Disorder in "independent" practice for clinical features that are better explained as EUPD & leaving NHS services to deal with the consequences/after care.

A pet hate of mine are private ADHD clinics which then ask GPs to prescribe on NHS - and do all the follow up & monitoring.

Just a reminder that, if you're registered with a GP in England, there are (a few days less than) 40 days until YOUR & YOUR FAMILY'S #GPdata begins to be extracted, for onward sale - paid "dissemination" - to third parties. If you have concerns, opt out: https://t.co/lXHoQq3Mr1
