Many people think Terry Butcher in a bandage is bravery. But look at Messi here. Playing as if his life and career depended on it. That's why he made it.
@lfcmumble
I remember Pickford trying to explain his decision to Coleman right after. It was basically like the chap in Goodfellas trying to explain to De Niro why he bought his wife the mink coat.
@AnfieldWatch
He's spot on to be fair. These players are going beyond the call of duty keeping us all entertained during the pandemic and without a proper preseason. And yet uefa still want international and European club games played too. They're only human.
@TheAnfieldWrap
That's the difference between Liverpool and 'We just need one or two more after already spending half a billion-chester United' Hope vs cynicism
@AnfieldRd96
Arsenal and United's fans have been in excellent form throughout Covid-19. Accumulated a lot of points. Unfortunately their actual football teams are still shiiiiiiite!
@VMSportIE
The only winners in irish football for the last 30 odd years are the pundits. Talking hoop is more of a dream job than contributing anything to the game itself.
@filmfac
@RedHourBen
A Clockwork Orange was a subversive ironic dystopian look at the future of England. The MCU has never attempted anything so controversial... Hence Scorsese's comments. Whether people like them or not is hardly the point. They've changed the way cinemas are run.
@NoContextBrits
Oasis were absolutely massive. They are my generation. And yet I prefer the Arctics by a long way. Noel has been writing the same song for 25 years
@Independent
Not that I'm taking much of it in but Harry actually worked harder for his country than his dad and brother over the last 15 years. He took his military career seriously unlike a lot of his family members.
@mrkocnnll
This feels like something a university student might write to get accepted into an English literature course. Wordy, determined to find fault. And ultimately just the complaint of someone who wants the film to do different things to the things it did.

There's 54 domestic leagues in Europe.Republic of Ireland are ranked 39th.Of the 38 above them at least half would have no interest in holding a European final.Instead they would be concentrating on making their own league stronger. Unfortunately that is not very glamorous work.
@Hulian0036
To be fair QT grew up around a lot of black people. According to his book his mom dated one or two and they were very kind to Quentin apparently.

No and no. Wahlberg has talent but the stigma of selling underpants never left him. Cooper again seems like a Hollywood suck up.

I'm a content writer for a not very well known company who don't pay very well. I will be copying and pasting this excellent feed on Monday morning and wondering what the hell I'm doing with my life.

You shouldn't have to be called out on Twitter to do something about these cases. You've been at this for years. And your staff hate working for you too. Stay classy.
@ChatShirt
Devil's advocate here but 2012 was a stylized collage of crosses. The detail on the current shirt is one flag in isolation. With this new kit, It seems pointless to mess up the flags colours a la Italy's green Puma kit. I'm more annoyed about the navy name & number set though.

Modric is a different animal. Drifts in and out of games. Doesn't constantly have to tackle. I love him but it's not a fair comparison
@MiguelDelaney
Liverpool need to reach the final. It's the only way to embarass the government into realising what they've done to Irish tourism... Silly me, government's are never embarrassed

@JFrankensteiner
I'm not allowed enjoy what I like at the cinema because I'm severely outnumbered by people with different taste. At least let me shout at a cloud without taking that away from me too.
@irishfantv
Said it a few weeks ago. Some journalists are trying to keep themselves in jobs by making something out of a non story. Slight tangents turning into unnecessary distractions...
@JFrankensteiner
I adore his lack of snobbery. Some buffs these days are the absolute pits.
Me: What do you think of John Cassavettes?
Them: I have Shadows on blu-ray
Me: Yes but what do you think of him?
Them: Well I bought the blu-ray so...
Me: Cool, really enjoyed the chat.
@stusfootyflash
It all happened down that end of Wembley for Gazza didn't it? Free vs Arsenal, Gary Charles, a stud away from glory vs Germany in 96. The solo goal versus Scotland...ah never mind.
@stusfootyflash
football isn't fair. We used to get about 25 minutes of Des and co if we were lucky. Nowadays there's schmucks getting two and a half hours.
@StevenD1977
This is going to become a major talking point this season. I can't help thinking Liverpool have less margin for error than City. If referees start trying to 'even decisions out' Liverpool could get robbed.
@Mona_giza
That's an incredible amount of repetition. Didn't realise scrollbait was a thing now. Thanks and goodbye. Ps: She took the civilian's offer of a 1st class seat and was grateful.

There was maximum wage up until the early 60s. So let's not pretend Liverpool were competing with the likes of Serie A or La Liga. City are literally able to outspend anyone
@markohaschej
@TrentAA
That's wrong. There are multiple successful professional footballers with university degrees . They were able to find a balance because they weren’t fed into the dream factory. That's the ideal for young men and women, get as much education as possible. It's an excellent plan B

We seem to have developed a nice system. Buying kids who probably will play 5 games for us before we sell them for 5 times the price. Unfortunately, we need to be a little less tomorrow and a little more now at the moment.
@HenryJackson87
Vital he stays at the club. Klopp is managing him well. Barring any real bad luck he could do this 25-30 games a season thing for another few years!
@KillianM2
Lads, relax about the bleedin Confederate flag. Loads of people had them back in the day before we all got 'woke'. It was often seen in Croker, usually during Cork games.
