I became a dad last year and the timing was absolutely spot on. Having this perfect little thing that you’re obsessed with, that takes up all your time, that consumes your thoughts, and that leaves you exhausted day after day, really helps distract you from the football.

It felt awful after we lost to Spurs but honestly it’s hard to look at it other than anything but a blessing. We are the second best team when playing against 4th tier of English football. Imagine facing the best of Europe? Lifetime humiliation results were waiting for us 💀.
