Trump moving the national guard into cities is a political loser. ~60% of Americans oppose it. Why? Voters don't buy Trump's argument over crime. Instead, they say Trump's taken his eye off the ball with too much focus on putting troops in cities & not enough on lower prices.

Was hiking a familiar trail near Flagstaff when I came upon a ponderosa that was burning after a lightning strike. I photographed for at least an hour as it calmly burned. I'd contacted the Forest Service and they later came to extinguish it.

We have got to do something about this idea that protest is purely a moral-expressive act denouncing “bad things”. As if it’s divorced from political demands made on one’s own government. Like, what would the point be of protesting Boko Haram from Pittsburgh? Be serious.
