In a new study, @ColumbiaPS researchers discovered that mRNA COVID-19 vaccines prompt the immune system to store memory T and B cells—key for long-term immunity—in tissues like the lungs, spleen, and bone marrow. https://t.co/UXOt9kub2Y

The new findings suggests that even if vaccine-induced immune memory is not detected in the blood, it may still persist in tissues.

Another awesome collaboration with @DonnaFarber3! Among many other experiments, we profiled antigen-responsive T cells across the body for COVID vaccine and flu with CITE-seq. Will be interesting to see if these findings generalize to other viruses and vaccines!

We analyzed immune memory to COVID mRNA vaccines across human tissues and found durable persistence of T cell memory in lymphoid organs and lungs with enhanced regulatory functions compared to blood. @JDavisPorada collaboration with @psimslab @Teijaro_Lab @columbia_MI

We systematically benchmarked and evaluated using 13 public CITE-seq datasets. ADTnorm effectively removes unwanted technical noise within or across studies while preserving biological signals across cell types at both broad and refined cell-type annotation levels.
