Frey's victory should be much bigger news given what he's been up against both historically & politically in Minneapolis. The "progressive wing" of the city council have really made him Enemy #1. There was a "don't rank Frey" campaign, given he was #1 in polling + ranked choice.
I'm not saying all Democrats everywhere need to immediately drop everything and learn the "lessons of Jacob Frey" but: (a) Minneapolis is much more typical than NYC (b) Frey has actually done the job! https://t.co/NMjzGSf8zM
