I think you are ignoring reality. This statement from Mings should not be taken lightly. It takes great courage for a footballer to raise his head above the political parapet.
You can hear his pain. Listen to it.

Blimey, I don't think anyone can complain about standards in a Premier Inn for the money. I have used them a lot for work and never had a problem.

just had Bradley on toast but he's still hiding behind the idea that they are paying councils enough, they are not.
It's a shame his Zoom stopped...or was it a desperate Tory Press Officer cutting the WiFi to stop him 😀
Personal news. I have been masking this behind a few Twitter moans. Just two weeks ago, my wife Mary was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She died yesterday. We're all devastated here. Get yourself regular health checks; I know I don't.
I gather the Leopard, Burslem, is on the market for around £220,000. It would be tragic if this historic hotel was lost and, for example, turned into flats. It was the place where Wedgwood met Brindley to talk about building the Trent & Mersey Canal. It needs to be saved.
@danwootton
This is desperate stuff. Fact: Those people were vocal on Qatar, you weren't. Can you show me your tweets protesting, for example, about Saudi influence on Newcastle Utd?
The former hq of the Sentinel. How can such a significant building in Stoke-on-Trent's history be allowed to get into such a state? There's even a tree growing out of the roof.
I worked there in the 80s when sales of the paper were over 125,000 a day.
For the first time in year's Stoke City has a manager who appears willing to build for the future rather than just manage the next 18 months. I don't understand why some generally sensible supporters can't see it?
I still think sacking O'Neill would be a backward, negative step. He's working hard to transform a club that's been a basket case for a long while. Results haven't come yet but they probably will given patience. Seems like I'm in minority
The disrespect for O'Neill isn't ok. He saved Stoke from oblivion following Jones' reign.
That does not mean he cannot be subject to criticism but it's getting nasty and sensible people need to take care to not egg on those with no respect.
@Haggis_UK
@EmmaKennedy
Giuliani used to sound sane. This is what happens when you cheapen politics by putting a Trump in the White House. What a shame.
It's time to resurrect this. Nobody could accuse Sir Max Hastings of being a Labour Party supporter. His verdict: Johnson is "a gold medal egomaniac bereft of judgment, loyalty or discretion."
As a constituent In Stoke-on-Trent North, these six weeks can't go fast enough. We've been embarrassed by our MP. I want to see Gullis lose badly. It's not to do with party politics. I don't get how average Tories can support him. Please don't let me down. Get Gullis gone.
Stoke City have a jewel of a youngster in Tyrese Campbell. He's had a serious injury but I am seeing tweets like he 'needs to put some effort in'. What happened to being kind? Then, when players leave, they'll get slaughtered. You really can't blame them, can you?
@WarsamaMartin
@bbclaurak
I'm working class. Corbyn won't be forgiven by the many if he puts his Euro-scepticism before the need to save jobs. Many benefits for poorer areas come from ERDF and other funds.
@JuliaHB1
Nuts!
In the past few days, I've been to the pub, held workplace training and driven across North West England. If you don't feel free, then you must have a miserable life.
Sacking a manager and announcing a new one within four days seems very unlike Stoke City. Will those who are forever on the owners' backs give them a little credit for once?
Ben Bradley MP says the government fund councils for free school meals. The fact is that the money doesn't cover the need. Bradley needs to be firmly challenged on this by interviewers.
#EndHolidayHunger
A Tory majority on Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council seems absurd. Food banks, empty shops, homelessness, main police station closed, environmental disaster, plus national issues and a shell of a PM. Conclusion: The pull of Brexit still strong, Labour much to do.
@EssexPR
Adam, they told an official choir not to sing it. No-one is saying spectators are banned from singing Delilah. Why do you insist on creating silly culture wars?
It seems strange now but many of us who first went to the Victoria Ground as a young child started off going through these turnstiles where we mixed with away fans. I'm talking about the early 1970s.

Is there something missing at modern football stadiums?
For me, it's the paddock. Standing areas along the sides of the pitch. A brilliant spot to watch the match.
Bored silly by the fake outrage about Man City not selling all their tickets for FA Cup semi final. I assume many working class fans can't afford two Wembley FA Cup trips & a European Cup quarter final in London & what may follow?
Blame the pricing, not the supporters.
Just been told to 'keep up' by my MP for daring to criticise his stance on council cuts. We live in a democracy, my comment was considered, not angry, is this really an acceptable way for an MP to behave?
Mr Gullis would do well to remember he represents all constituents.
@darrengrimes_
One bloke has taught the government a lesson on feeding hungry children and scored three World Cup goals in the group stages.
The other is Darren 😂
I just looked at the Stoke City Council budget book. Next to the savings for the museum service it states "minimal impact ". Expert job losses, a 5 month closure of 1 museum, less days at another & hardly any cash for Ford Green Hall = minimal impact!
Are people ok with this?
Sophie Raworth is doing an excellent job with Johnson. She's firm, asks questions but let's him talk. Knows when to stay silent. It's that silence that exposes Johnson. He can't resist and fills the gap with bluster.
Dead cats everywhere!

@MichaelLCrick
Why do many on here not recognise that it is possible to be totally wrong on Iraq but hsve a valid, interesting opinion on other matters? As someone who actually was involved with many EU top level meetings, his views on Brexit are surely worth listening to?
@labourlewis
Very much respected you as something a bit more flexible than Corbyn's Momentum supporters. Afraid I'll lose that respect if you don't drop support for Ruth Smeeth's abuser.
There's something rotten at the heart of Stoke City. Are we saying O'Neill is crap, Jones was crap, Rowett was crap, etc? Changing the manager is pointless unless we get to the heart of the failure. Even a Frankenstein monster of Fergurson, Paisley and Waddo couldn't do it 😞
@stephenjones9
Grace, really? Gatland set tone with the nonsense about the TMO. Tried to get his teams to out do the Springboks physically. We could do better.
It is a shame that the Victoria Ground couldn't have been shifted to the left of this shot and revamped. There were very good reasons for the move but the old grounds in built up areas somehow felt better
@EssexPR
Yet weaponising "woke" and deliberately causing division with culture wars us absolutely fine because it suits your personal politics?
Grow up.
For years, sometimes reasonably, those in charge of recruitment at Stoke City have come under heavy criticism. It's only fair that supporters applaud this time. The recruitment process seems excellent. Of course, there's no guarantees as players are human. A sterling effort.

@SkyNews
This might yet be the silliest, most deluded comment of a catastrophic year.
Who"d have thought that the single market was important to the EU? Not Gisela, it seems.
All for development in Stoke-on-Trent but why do we allow such awful building design? These flats, just up from the Emma Bridgewater factory, look like an army prison building.
Sporting honours for Alastair Cook and Bill Beaumont both well deserved but still no knighthood for Gordon Banks. Can anyone explain the lack of recognition for a legend who deserves to be up there with Sir Bobby Charlton & Sir Geoff Hurst?
Anyone who doesn't see 4 points from 2 games - and 2 clean sheets - for Lambert's Stoke City as an achievement needs a reality check. Stop moaning please.
While pleased there's money in today's Budget for 3 Stoke-on-Trent regeneration projects, what North Staffordshire is desperate for is a proper joined up transport system.
I have received a newsletter from Jonathan Gullis. In his plan, item 1 says "successfully secured £3.5m for Tunstall Library & Baths".
That's not correct, the money is to turn the historic baths & library into private apartments.
This is the problem with so-called

The family of

deserve our gratitude for today's service. It couldn't have been easy to share a family funeral with his many supporters.
Can't say I have ever spoken to anyone who didn't have anything but the utmost respect for the great man
@zarahsultana
@jeremycorbyn
Corbyn's actions brought the party into disrepute. It is that simple, when an independent report says there's a problem, the person who was in charge should express regret, not dispute it.
That's a resignation issue for any honorable member of the House.
Just a reminder that Stoke-on-Trent City Council is definitely not shutting down a much loved museum.
It's just closing the doors to the public for 5 months every year.
That's OK then?
Crisis over!
It's how propaganda works 😖
Fiorentina on tele. Who recalls watching them at the Victoria Ground in the Anglo Italian Cup? The side included Gabriel Batistuta and Stefan Effenberg but Stoke held them to a 0-0 draw.
I'm baffled why Joe Marler seems to be loved by RU fans. To me, he's an irritant and causes trouble where there's no need for it. Get on with scrummaging, rather than making cheap gags at other players' expense.
@kelvmackenzie
Most office workers are more productive working from home and have more disposable income without daily commutes. It's good for the economy, good for lots of businesses and good for many people
Don't see how
@SaleSharksRugby
have anything to regret. The winners undoubtedly had more big game nous, but those young players, mainly from North West England are an up and coming force. Roebuck, Quirke, Warr, Reed, McIntyre, etc, are surely going to bring silverware.
