When Ricky Jones was granted bail in January Ray Connolly didn’t mention it to his wife Lucy in jail because he knew it would upset her. The contrast with Lucy’s Stasi Starmer treatment - no bail, hasty harsh sentence - was too terrible. Now this. Starmer is in trouble.
