So there you have it folks: one of Britain's biggest telecomms firms says they don't have a single telephone. Does anyone believe them? Another example of modern contemptuous capitalism, where firms do all they can to avoid talking to customers.
I DMed Virgin Media to phone me & they replied: "Hey Micheal, we are a digital team with no access to a phone nor can we organise a call back. We can look at helping you over here if want to expand on what has happened, otherwise if you do prefer a phone call I would advise.

Perhaps Starmer should be exempt on the grounds that, when he voiced his support for Corbyn, nobody in the kingdom believed him.

If that's true, then surely Keir Starmer and most of his ministers will have to be axed as candidates at the next general election.
Deputy council leader Jamie Pritchard was blocked from being Labour’s Senedd by-election candidate in Caerphilly because he had tweeted support for Jeremy Corbyn when he was the party’s leader, we can reveal ✍️@ShiptonMartin

Four days after Douglas Carswell posted this appallingly racist tweet, why did Farage decide to meet Carswell in America?

Who was last football club owner, before Jason Stockwood, to become a government minister. Geoffrey Robinson perhaps? An interesting precedent.

It may be time for the officers of the Westminster "lobby" (the parliamentary reporters) to deliver a formal complaint to the Reform Party, or maybe the Society of Editors should do so. And reporters should memtion it publicly in their output whenever it happens.
Have other journalists been bullied by Reform politicians or staff in the way David Maddox describes? Please DM me if you don't want to go public.

@realPhilTaylor Yes, & Tories tried to exclude me (as Newsnight pol ed) from press conference where then chairman Shaun Woodward announced Archer as London mayoral candidate - until Jon Snow (of C4 News) intervened. But what David Maddox describes is bad given Farage's guff about free speech.

David describes some outrageous behaviour by Reform staff, and the it goes so far beyond the lobby rules, and conventions of political journalism, that he should start naming names. I would - no matter which party it was.
This article is written by @DavidPBMaddox who is a decent good man. As political editor at the Express he helped put Reform on the map. He has now been told by them to “shut it” or be cancelled.

And the Chinese state has a dreadful record of stealing organs from dissidents & Falun Gong followers as a way to suppress dissent & to murder opponents. Removing prople's organs & selling them worldwide had been a big industry for China in recent years.

Having pointed out that Sir Stephen Eyre, the original judge in the Epping Forest case, is a former Conservative candidate, I should now add that Sir David Bean, who led the appeal court judgement, was once chairman of the Labour-affilated Fabian Society.
Mr Justice Eyre, who made today's Epping Bell Hotel judgement, was Conservative candidate in the 2004 Birmingham Hodge Hill by-election.
