Absolutely appalled at George Will this morning on
@Morning_Joe
. If only, he says, Biden would have reached outand said we are one nation he’d have been embraced by the right. He did. He wasn’t. What claptrap.
If you think refusing to take lifesaving vaccines is akin to the Holocaust, I suggest you follow
@AuschwitzMuseum
and see how shameful the comparison is.

Klain says to ask seniors if the Inflation Recovery Act helps them. Yesterday my husband calculated that he’d have saved $5,000 already this year on his prescriptions. So that’s a big yes.
My mom found that open door last night, and left us peacefully and painlessly. The strongest woman I’ve ever known, and the one person I never ever wanted to disappoint. 💔

AMEN! I do not favor abortion. I favor women making that difficult personal decision and not government.
I say this as someone who read every word of the Nixon tapes and watched as they finally destroyed the last vestiges of his grasp on the presidency: Today’s recording of Trump trying to get Georgia election official to “recalculate” should do the same for Trump.
The Democrats’ primary process lets elite delegates to put their thumb on the scale.
There is definitely an effort to take out Bernie, but regardless of who emerges, Republican turnout showed there is unprecedented excitement for
@realDonaldTrump
!
Exactly. I’m past child-bearing age. I never had to face a personal decision on abortion. Yet I feel demeaned, angry, hurt. A majority on the Supreme Court sees women as incubators, whose lives and choices are irrelevant.
If you needed more proof that Congress has lost its way look at Pelosi’s slanted 1/6 Commission. With a sliver of a majority she est a panel dominated by Dems. Proves all GOP who went along w this were had. Should be a split panel w a goal of airing facts, all of them.

I keep thinking about the 5-year-old girl from Texas whose short life was honored yesterday by
@NicolleDWallace
as another victim of Covid19. Five. With an adorable smile & what should have been a bright future.
Wear a mask. Follow the rules. You might be saving a life like hers.
Here is the full McKayla Maroney opening statement. It’s hard to watch but necessary. Powerful.

Also adolescent girls are often irregular. And these louts will be shocked to learn the pill is often prescribed to regulate menstruation.
Of all the foul lies that Trump tells, this one may bother me the most. Religion shouldn’t be a political issue in the first place. But to lie about an obviously devout man, whose faith has sustained him through heartbreak, is especially heinous.
Trump on Biden: "No religion, no anything, hurt the Bible, hurt ... God. He's against God, he's against guns."
He’s a ranting, desperate carnival barker...
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tells Chris Wallace that power grid problems in Texas are mainly a paperwork issue that has already been solved by the legislature (there were over 1,000 unplanned outages in Texas last month)
One bright spot today is thinking how totally annoyed Trump must be to have three female judges of varied ethnicities questioning his right to do anything he wants.
Biden winds down his speech in Maryland: "In this moment, those of you who love this country -- Democrats, independents, mainstream Republicans -- we must be stronger, more determined, & more committed to saving American than the MAGA Republicans are to destroying America"
Every time I hear
@fred_guttenberg
speak, as he did now on Deadline White House, I am struck by how he is taking his pain and trying to save others from the same. And he hasn’t surrendered despite the odds. I am in awe. 💔
Ratcliffe as DNI, like Barr at Justice, like Trump's appointees to the Supreme Court and McConnell in the Senate, will be part of the president's praetorian guard, men given positions of great power who have but a single mission, to protect and enable Trump.
I now have my mom convinced that if it’s 4, it’s time for
@NicolleDWallace
. And a glass of wine. Quite a step for a woman who had preferred Little House on the Prairie.
Sorry, I’ve got to start focusing my energy on North Korea Nuclear, bad Trade Deals, VA Choice, the Economy, rebuilding the Military, and so much more, and not on the Rigged Russia Witch Hunt that should be investigating Clinton/Russia/FBI/Justice/Obama/Comey/Lynch etc.
I am at my mom’s bedside at an Illinois hospital. Pray for her, if not to recover which at 96 may be too much to hope for, at least for an open door she painlessly walks through. ❤️
Peacefully?!? They stormed the Capitol. People died. Feces were smeared in hallways. Offices looted. And Spartz and other members of Congress, along with Pence, had to flee and hide.
Shame on her for this lie.
GOP Rep. Spartz: If the January 6 insurrectionists wanted to do an insurrection they would have succeeded. They were expressing themselves peacefully. It is un-American to call them insurrectionists, they are good Americans

If you have a problem with a father tenderly hugging his son, kissing his cheek, it makes me wonder what kind of father you had. Mine loved his children, and hugs and kisses were abundant.
As a college student at University of Illinois I saw that Jimmy Carter was coming to the student Union for an event. I’d read that he was a long-shot candidate for president so I went. Only about 5 other students came. But he sat on a couch and talked with us for an hour. ❤️
I keep thinking of the senator who, during 2nd reading on amendments, said he was there as a representative of Jesus.
Imagine if a lawmaker said they were there as a representative of Mohammed.
Over the pleas of
@GovHolcomb
, Indiana’s legislature refused to pass a law requiring reasonable accommodations for pregnant women. Yet soon they are likely to require women to give birth.
Don’t call yourself prolife if you don’t care about women’s lives.
In the midst of all the politics and crimes, life goes on. Today my son has cancer surgery. If ever there was a day I needed optimism and hope, this is it.
My take, fresh off the keyboard. | Trump “upped the ante,”
@RadioFreeTom
writes. "He is warning all of us, point-blank, that he will violate the law if he wants to, and if you don’t like it, you can take it up with the mob that he can summon at will.”
Kudos to The Tribune in Seymour for breaking the news overnight that State. Rep. Jim Lucas was arrested for drunken driving and leaving the scene if an accident. I hope

and other outlets credit them.
Local journalism matters.
1) Contraception sometimes fail.
2)Women are raped.
3) Young girls get pregnant sometimes ignorant of how.
4) Deeply wanted babies can be non-viably malformed.
5) Ectopic pregnancies
6) Maternal health issues could mean death for the woman
@POTUS
@MurchDave
All women SHOULD be practicing safe sex. They must not require an abortion if they get use condoms and contraceptives. Men should also be proactive. It affects them, too!
Things I know about Joe Kernan: He loved baseball, so of course “Centerfield” was his campaign song. He hated pumpkin, because he’d been fed it daily as a POW. He loved South Bend and his alma mater, Notre Dame. He had a laugh that could fill the Statehouse Rotunda.
