Not that I think any of these contracts are good, I am happy to see companies bring suit. We have contracting rules to ensure competition but also to mitigate against corruption. Funneling billions into the pockets of friends of the regime requires a challenge.
Wow! One of ICE’s primary deportation contractors is suing the Trump admin for awarding a $1 billion contract to an unqualified competitor with close ties to the admin. They allege DHS notified hand-picked competitors ahead of time, then set a 2-day turnaround for everyone else.
