Lack of discipline in school or at home often leads to lack of discipline in sports. How you do anything is how you do everything!.

If players aren’t putting in the xtra work on their own, they have no one to blame but themselves. Can’t just rely on team practices. Game is too competitive not to do something each day, put the phone down and get it done!.

Mental toughness, once developed, doesn’t just stay with you. You have to continue to work hard to maintain it. If you get lazy, you can become mentally weak again.

Practice with a PURPOSE!. Using the tee is boring. Catch is boring. Taking ground balls is boring. Really?? It’s only boring because you’re not mentally engaged. Because you’re not intentional with what you are doing. It’s boring because YOU aren’t serious about getting better.

Leadership is about doing whatever it takes to help your team succeed. Average leaders make excuses and let things happen. Great leaders take ownership and get things done.

Players. You don't automatically reach your ceiling as a player. You have to bust your ass to reach it. You have to invest in yourself every day. You have to be willing to be inconvenienced and uncomfortable. You have to be addicted to habits of success. You can't follow the

Mental toughness isn’t something you either have or don’t have. It can be learned and developed. Anyone is capable of training their mental toughness if they’re willing to do so.

Hit a milestone yesterday at the I-95 Metro Showcase in New Jersey. I’ve been working hard to hit 90mph with my four seam and did it four times yesterday on the mound. What an incredible event with 70+ college coaches watching. Looking forward to future gains!

Baseball will try and break you. 0-for-4. Dropped fly. Missed sign. Good ‼️. Now what? . Most will fold. The obsessed? They get back in the cage. They bleed for it. Because failure’s part of the price. #NoExcuses #GrindWins #BaseballLife.

Pitchers, your weekly reminders:. • Throw your CH in catch. • Spin your breaking ball(s) in catch. • Be unpredictable with pitch selection. • Control the running game. • Take care of your body. • Study your craft. • Back up bases. • Thank your catcher. • Goal = NO WALKS!.

Hitting success starts with your personal belief system. Do you truly believe you can compete against the best?.Do you truly believe in the work you’ve put in?.Do you truly believe and stay confident even during your struggles?. If you truly don’t believe in yourself, who will.

I’m as excited as anyone to talk to the 27’s, but don’t lose sight that we all spent all summer talking to 22s, 23s, 24s, & 25s… advice to HS kids, run your race and just keep working, the game will repay you when it’s ready. #KeepWorking.
