Let the trash talking begin. My Grandson, Talon, received some army men for his birthday. I told him he better send his guys to boot camp to get some training because my guys are ready to battle when he comes to visit later this year. We’ve been exchanging pics of our guys

If the coaching staff isn’t leading by example, if they aren’t living out the values they expect from their players, the culture won’t stick. A coach can’t preach hard work.but show up late. He can’t demand discipline but allow little things to slide. He can’t expect players to.

The football season officially starts this Wednesday. Do you know how many meetings I’ve had with my staff to prepare?. Zero. None. Nada. Not a one. Why? How? The answer. Summer football practice. We’ve already taught and installed our systems, schemes and drills. We had 95%.

The amount of heartache, tragedy and pain filtered through a team with 12 coaches and 65 players + 30 years of alumni seems to be never ending. It has been a season of unexpected death, sickness, hurt, loss, and pain. I’m reminded again today, after receiving some.

Amazing things happen when you say no to your kids when they ask you for screen time. Kai’s young brother JJ is with us this week for a trip to Oregon to see my in-laws and then spend time at the beach. Every time the kids have asked for screen time it has turned into play
