Nóva was one of Bluesky’s biggest supporters and unwavering & dedicated investors. We are extremely sad. So many people loved her, including us 💙 Our thoughts are with her family and friends. And I hope to live Nova’s legacy of always reaching out with an open heart and hand.
Last Wednesday evening Kris Nova had a climbing accident and died.
All of us that loved her are heart broken and stunned. She was an amazing person that lived out loud and built connection and community wherever she went. She will be horribly missed.

The other app 🦋 is one of the first implementations of algorithmic choice. You can pin different feeds at the top of the app, and if you only want to see cat pics… well there are >4 cat feeds built by users and 3rd party devs to choose from. Users should have more control 👍

Ya but I’ve asked myself WHY are ppl in SF more idea-obsessed, and I think a root cause is SF attracts ppl who have lower EQ. Bc they don’t have the same relational needs and tend to be in positions of power, they have steered culture towards ideas vs. ppl.
