She’s coming for her Winter Fuel. She’s hiking her care costs. She’s taxing her pension pot. Why does Rachel Reeves hate your nan?

Britain is run by a left wing authoritarian government. Labour has cancelled our local elections. They want to police our lives, impose digital ID, take away our right to vote and destroy our democratic freedoms.  Our elections must go ahead.

I worked in Erasmus for the Commission. It was massively loaded against the UK. This is a huge mistake,

@Rosessolutions Here's a good place to start. £105 million was spent on Turing in the 2024/25 academic year, and helped fund over 43,000 student placements for British students. The Erasmus scheme on average saw around 15,000 British students a year, and cost the UK between £200-300 million

@elliereeves If the Tories denied people that opportunity, how come 40,000 Brits went abroad under Turing last year while only around 10-15k per year travelled under Erasmus?

Unless everyone has misunderstood the numbers this is an horrific waste (another) which pays for far more EU students coming here than we send there. What is wrong with Labour?

It’s a quite terrible deal for the UK. And means the extra taxes now being inflicted on working people will be used to finance some ‘study’ in Barcelona for gap-year yahs from affluent families. Starmer couldn’t negotiate his way out a wet paper bag.

As expected, the Bank cut rates by 0.25%, but it was a close call (5-4) with "subdued economic growth and building slack in the labour market" as key factors. In other words, the weakness of the economy and mounting job losses offset worries about inflation. Not much to cheer...

Lower interest rates will be welcome news for many families - but rates are being cut despite inflation remaining well above target, thanks to rising unemployment and low growth under Labour. This decision reflects growing concerns about the weakness of our economy. Labour's

Bridget Phillipson’s Education Department is a mess. And children, parents and schools are paying the price. A 🧵 on the cancellation of previously-approved free schools, including much-needed special schools.

65 Labour peers didn't turn up. One even joined the exodus to live in Dubai. That's why you lost the vote, Angela. You can't even get your own Lords to vote for this dreadful Bill.

33 Tory hereditary peers voted against the Employment Rights Bill last week. We lost the vote by 24. That could mean some of the lowest earners will not get statutory sick pay this April. We must pass this Bill without delay.

Lot of anger tonight from rural groups at Sir Keir’s seemingly callous response to Qs about the impact of inheritance tax relief changes today. One in the farming community says: “The PM’s brainless comments have added fuel to a totally unnecessary war on the countryside.”

Socialism always leads to higher unemployment. If you increase costs on employers, jobs will suffer - 170,000 losses as of today. If Labour had an ounce of competence they’d understand that.

BREAKING: UK unemployment rate rises to 5.1% - a 5-year high. This is a result of anti-business policies: higher taxes - including a tax on jobs, soaring business rates, and an Unemployment Bill that piles on red tape and risk. Labour's front bench has no real world business

Why, oh why, will the Prime Minister not change course? Parliamentary Committees, MPs, farming stakeholders & our hard working farming community are all calling for his disastrous Family Farm Tax to be scrapped. But the PM remains determined to push on - despite all warnings.
