Medicine tried to convince me to have surgery where they cracked my skull open, sliced into my brain to move it out of the way, and left filler material inside my skull for the rest of my life, to treat superior canal dehiscence syndrome.

it's because of histamine dysregulation
when you have a bunch of low-level allergies (which is what ADHD is), your "histamine bucket" gets more and more full across the day. this means you're often pretty amped at bedtime. avoiding allergens & mitigating inflammation helps tons

The wild thing is, when I got top surgery, it didn't just alleviate my dysphoria. It also allowed me to heal from gastroparesis and compulsive breathholding--something wearing tight garments often (like a bra/binder) causes.
There is *NO* official treatment for gastroparesis.

it's important to understand that while your lived experiences can definitely cause this, anyone with chronically elevated histamine is prone to hyperfocus. trauma changes the inflammatory response so you have more histamine, but long COVID also changes your inflammatory response

You can literally be intersex yourself and have no idea. They never do karyotype testing unless your genitals are ambiguous when you pop out. But you can have "normal looking" genitals and still be intersex.
2-5% of ppl are born intersex.
1-2% of the population has naturally red hair.

I know this is little consolation, but I live in constant fear of anaphylaxis, and luckily terror= adrenaline= basically homemade epipen. His body would likely be able to redirect blood so that he could still breathe in such a circumstance. I hope that helps a little ❤️

that's mast cell activation syndrome! it's either food or environmental allergies or a combo of both triggering it. Mast cell reactions can start up to 72 hours after exposure so it can be impossible to tell what you're reacting to

Hi, I'm a "legitimately disabled person," diagnosed with mast cell activation syndrome and superior canal dehiscence syndrome before Covid.
I can't participate in society on any level whatsoever because able-bodied people won't let me (it would be inconvenient.) Hope this helps.
