“Sky Harbor is a warm spot” is a nice way to say “Sky Harbor is an urban heat island”
🌡️All-Time Record Broken: Phoenix broke the all-time record warm low this morning with 97°F. Previous record of 96°F was set back in 2003. While Sky Harbor is a warm spot, several locations around the greater metro area experienced lows in the 90s this morning. #azwx

So… the speed bumps do nothing to slow traffic… but they meet the department of transportation’s standards… Unfortunately, that checks out.

Galaxy-brain take of the year. Clearly someone who’s never actually ridden a bike in a city and been honked at, told to get off the road, and all manner of other unsolicited comments… incredible
@MattyCiii @Next_andReady @criticalurban @Boenau News flash: people are going to argue for what's in their own self-interest, but I don't see car drivers telling bike riders to quit riding their bikes and get the fuck into a car. You see the opposite a lot though.

This is literally the best that the government administration tasked with road safety can do. Don't forget to tie your shoes!

Imagine if posting speed limits between 35 and 55mph was illegal. Engineers would have to either design roads for “slower” speeds of 35 or less, or for higher speeds above 55mph. Stroads would be regulated out of existence.

I usually like to support print journalism but I’m not paying $50 to read how to paint crosswalks… any other ways to access?

Today #Amsterdam starts a transition experiment of 6 weeks that reclaims a car dominated street as public space. There are already some important lessons about the importance of language. 1/🧵

It’s time to stop asking opinions and get things built. How much does the opinion of someone who has never ridden a bike in the city matter in the development of bike infrastructure? Zero.
A plan to install separated bike lanes along one of Boston’s busiest corridors is being met with strong opinions.

Good morning. It's hour 70 of Amy and Fabiola's hunger strike. It's the last day of the legislative session. Speaker @CarlHeastie still won't say why we refuses to bring Sammy's Law to a vote. Ask him why he won't: (518) 455-3791

That building just darted out of nowhere
WATCH: @dcfireems still on the scene of a car into a building along 300 Eastern Ave NE. This is a childcare center. Just spoke with the co-owner, he tells me he is distraught after showing up and seeing the front of his family’s business. @nbcwashington

This “viral” tweet shows what Twitter amounts to these days. A parade of blue checkmarks (because the platform prioritizes them now) making asinine one-liners that show no substance or thought toward the topic…
