Why did the CCP *murder* their own doctors? Some of us are desensitized to CCP abuse of political dissenters. The murder of a few outspoken doctors doesn't really shock. But these deaths have broader significance. They lead us to ask: did the CCP spread the virus deliberately?

A recent survey of "experts" on the origin of SARS-CoV-2 found 33% of them claimed to have read a non-existent study "Hamlen et al, 2022" included as a control. Now Microsoft's Copilot AI also claims the fake study as evidence of a zoonotic origin.

SARS-COV-2 engineering. A question often posed by zoonosis proponents is why would an engineered SARS-COV-2 have a non-canonical Furin Cleavage Site? Why wouldn't an engineer use R-X-R-R, known to be more efficient than the minimal R-X-X-R? Here's a possible explanation...

While speculative, this offers a reasonable explanation for an engineered non-canonical FCS. It strains credulity that experts with publications in the field (like @stuartdjneil ) haven't read papers like this, and have to ask questions like "why use a non-canonical FCS?"

If ZC45 is part of a newly discovered natural clade, why does it also have some features of the original SARS-like viruses? It seems to be the missing link between SARS-1 and SARS-COV-2, and deserves far more attention than it gets.

Interestingly Yigang Tong has been quite insistent that Racoon Dogs and Huanan market were NOT the source of SARS-CoV-2. This is consistent with George Gao's comments on the subject. Clearly China's official line is still that pangolins are to blame.

The lab under suspicion is situated at Kenema General Hospital (KGH). The lab was run by the Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Consortium (VHFC) whose members include Harvard and Tulane, Scripps and UTMB. Some of the leadership will be familiar to those following Covid origins.

Wuchun Cao is well networked with western scientists, studied at Erasmus, Cambridge and Karolinska, worked with Institut Pasteur and Oxford. He's the main China contact for One Health. But he is a PLA officer and was sent to Wuhan early in the pandemic to conceal its origin.

@dhogaza2 @DrJBhattacharya There's no need to be so extreme to have a chilling effect on speech. Many MDs lost their credentials over vaccine "heresies", are now unable to practice. I toned it down merely in fear of losing my twitter account. And some here had their doors kicked in over social media posts.

Ben Hu? Ben Who? Ben WTF? WIV weren't working *as they claimed* with natural viruses they found in a cave and believed posed a spillover threat. They first engineered viruses *to give them spillover potential* then did further work on these at US expense. Evidence👇

PLA involvement in research related to SARS-CoV-2 Origin I recently wrote a rationale to support the claim SARS-CoV-2 is a bioweapon, and to try address frequently asked questions like: what could be the military use of such a virus, and why would China risk harm to its own…

Why should we ban discussion that it may have been a bioweapon? What evidence makes this a "conspiracy theory"? I haven't seen any. If it is artificial, then what could be the reason for making such a construct? Let's have that discussion.

This is exactly the sort of obfuscation where misinformation experts engage in misinformation themselves. The common form of the lab origin theory is that SARS-CoV-2 resulted from gain of function research, i.e. was manmade, then leaked accidently. That claim violated FB policy.

A Tong paper from Feb 2020 suggests Tong's group (though it's written in the passive voice). But it references the Tommy Lam/Eddie Holmes paper as the source. And their paper doesn't say either.

I told Peter I'm more concerned about knowledge transfer to China than funds and that the PLA may use this for bioweapons development. He maintained they don't send funds to China. OK it's not about the money - your researchers are working alongside the PLA!

Evidence of Genetic Engineering of SARS-COV-2 Part 11: Cold Case- HKU1 HKU1 is one of the less studied human coronaviruses. It was first discovered in HK in Jan 2004, as the SARS epidemic was fizzling out, in an elderly man who had recently returned from the mainland.
