I asked to pay in Bitcoin. They say "Ok" . I say, "Lightning?" . The woman at the desk goes: "Yes! lightning!" And throws an enthusiastic thumbs up. Proceeds to make me a Ch¡vo LN invoice which takes 0 seconds to pay from @blinkbtc. Change is hard, but we're getting there ppl 🫂.
First attempt right off the plane to use #Bitcoin in #ElSalvador. $12 entrance fee. Maybe it was my fault for not looking closely, but processed on chain not over #LightningNetwork. Doh! $4 fee as opposed to $.20 and waiting for on chain transaction to clear.
