i grew up in working class Asian spaces where a Reaganesque, bootstrap-pulling, “sink or swim” attitude was default.
over time i learned this is a coping mechanism — a historical trauma, not an innate value.

Asians tweeting we need to call out black people for being racist towards Asian.
You know, you can just call out racism right. No need to single out a group when everyone can be racist towards Asians. Targetting a specific group exposes your own prejudices for all the critique.
