I did a report on this as a teenager and interviewed hundreds of Dr's, paramedics and hospice workers. Almost all of them reported this of their patients. Some in great detail. I need to find this paper.

This is a really bad take. If you are recruiting kids that are worried about "sitting" as opposed to competing. You are fucked. Recruits didn't come to SC because the football program is not a priority at the school. That's it.
