Wrong. He missed time last year due to trauma. He played all season this year. He wouldn’t be eligible next year.
@jordonr You can call it simple minded all you want. I’m sure the struggle and trauma were significant. But trauma has no time limit. You could make this same case a year from now. He absolutely deserved to win the award, but it made the most sense to win it last year.

Award or not, I just want to speak on the simple mindedness of tweets like this. Last year he came back from death (and lost the award). This year he came back from the trauma he was dealing with last year (coming back from death). The issue is that it takes a little bit of.

That’s not true at all. What you’re saying he “recovered” from was dying. Yes, he was alive but he was dealing with the trauma associated with dying all last year. I’m not sure why people think that what he dealt with should be treated the same as recovering from an ACL.
@AaronQuinn716 That's not what happened though. He recovered and was playing last year, that's when he should have won CPOY. He was just lower down the depth chart. Buffalo lost both starting safeties this offseason, more injuries, so Hamlin's played a lot more. The comeback still happened.
