If the U.S. NIH budget had been 40% smaller—similar to cuts proposed in the FY2026 budget—how would that have affected the medicines we enjoy today? In a new #SciencePolicyArticle, researchers present an analysis of a hypothetical alternative history. https://t.co/NteUnMSF5V

Huge thank you to @TheAAES and @ThyCaInc for funding our research on RAI-resistant thyroid cancer! I am also grateful to the team at @AlbanyMed, especially my co-investigator Dr. John Lamar, without whom this project would not be possible. Time to get to work!

Study of 18 atypical parathyroid adenomas showed mutations in MEN1, PIK3CA, and CASR but not CDC73. There were no recurrences after short-term followup. This supports the theory that atypical parathyroid adenomas are predominantly benign.

Sitting here sobbing. This was the most powerful talk I have ever heard. If you are in medicine, you need to listen to @lubitz_carrie raw emotion and courage. This will resonate with everyone on some level. Thank you so much for your extreme bravery in sharing your story.
