.@GovernorShapiro, does this mean that 65,000 public cyber students will succeed by cutting their funding and eliminating their schools? Is that what you mean by succeed? #HB1500 harms students.

Today is the day that the @PaHouseDems, led by @RepMaryIsaacson, @RepSchweyer, @RepCiresi, and @RepProbst, will vote against 65,000 public school students and families. They are silencing students and families and telling them they don't care of about their educational choice.

As Rep. Marc Anderson so eloquently says, funding for all schools needs to be looked at. @PaHouseDems are only targeting public cyber charter students for deep cuts and punitive policies. This is morally, ethically, and legally wrong.
“This has to be done right.” Rep. Marc Anderson voted no on HB 1500, citing a rushed process and concerns that the $8,000 tuition cap would underfund students and force cyber schools to close.

.@RepMaryIsaacson's comments during today's #PAHouse Ed Cmte meeting are exhibit 1 of why ramming through legislation because its budget time is horrible policy making. This affirms that the @PaHouseDems are only pushing HB 1500 because of money. Students be damned!
