I am proud sponsor Senate Bill 10 and to join with my colleagues and to stand up for children and their future by passing the Pennsylvania Award for Student Success scholarship program out of the Senate Education Committee.
PA students stuck in underperforming schools deserve a chance to pursue better educational opportunities. The Pennsylvania Award for Student Success (PASS) scholarship program, passed Tuesday by the Senate Education Committee, will do that.

SB 9 passed the Senate by a bipartisan vote of 32-18 & now heads to the House. We cannot allow the opportunities that Title IX enshrined for women to be lost. With our passage of this bill today, we have shown that we will defend women & their right to safe & fair competition.

The hearing highlighted the damaging practices that are being done to minors. I commend the testifiers for their courage to speak out in defense of our kids. What they shared serves as call for us to enact legislation like the Do No Harm Act, so that no more children are harmed.
During a public hearing on the proposed Do No Harm Act, legislators, medical professionals and advocates discussed the potential lifelong harm caused by allowing minors to undergo gender transitioning operations.

We were honored to welcome the Bridge Educational Foundation to our district today for a special check presentation at Blair County Christian School. Through PA's EITC Program, families in Blair County have been awarded $75,750 in private school tuition scholarships.
