The physiological advantages that men possess are clear and unquestionable, and the inclusion of men in women’s sports has come at the expense of opportunity for so many women.

Today we are sadly seeing the landmark protections that Title IX initially provided to women being eroded by politicians, as men claiming to be women unfairly compete in women’s sports.

As the prime sponsor of Senate Bill 9, the Save Women’s Sports Act, I’m proud to be “an extremist”! .

As part of Fulton Co. 175th Anniversary Celebration, I attended the Muzzleloader Shoot at the Fulton Co. Pistol & Rifle Club. I had a blast lighting the fuse of a Civil War cannon for a direct hit on a 200-yard target! Opening ceremony for the day was led by Boy Scout Troop 43.

I was pleased to present a citation to the Altoona Chapter of AMBUCS to celebrate their 100th year anniversary! Accepting the citation is chapter president, Rick Centar. This is a truly great group of folks in our community.

WIM connects and uplifts women across the trucking industry with training, mentorship and networking opportunities. I had the opportunity to present on the key policies and initiatives shaping the future of Pennsylvania’s multimodal transportation system.

It was an honor to be a keynote speaker at the American Trucking Association’s second annual symposium for Women In Motion (WIM) at FedEx’s Ground Headquarters in Pittsburgh.

Despite the strong bipartisan passage of Senate Bill 9, the “Save Women’s Sports Act”, out of the Senate, the House continues to play games with women’s rights and the protections enshrined in Title IX. Read my full statement here -

Today, I joined colleagues in the Senate, former Hempfield High track athlete, Lily Williams, Emily Kreps, of the PA Family Council, Sen. Phillips-Hill & fellow advocates to call on the House to protect women & girls across our Commonwealth & pass SB 9 to Save Women's Sports!

This program will empower parents to make the decisions that are best for their child and ensure all children in the commonwealth have the chance at a quality education that fits their needs.

I am proud sponsor Senate Bill 10 and to join with my colleagues and to stand up for children and their future by passing the Pennsylvania Award for Student Success scholarship program out of the Senate Education Committee.

SB 9 passed the Senate by a bipartisan vote of 32-18 & now heads to the House. We cannot allow the opportunities that Title IX enshrined for women to be lost. With our passage of this bill today, we have shown that we will defend women & their right to safe & fair competition.
