Interesting insight!.
Pretty sure there are a lot of democrat electeds who are glad about this b/c they want kids to have the option but they never wanted to pay the price for making it happen with the teacher unions. A lot of haters will be undercover participants for sure.

Quick take - the feds are acting where states refuse to help kids. It’s unfortunate that states need to opt in. So it’s up to PA parents to make sure WE DO!. More to come as this all shakes out.

What they “need” is a valid rework of the funding formula, pension reform (almost 40 cents on the dollar currently), and hold harmless restructuring. Calling cyber charter kids “low hanging fruit,” refusing to acknowledge their needs, kneecapping their education isn’t the way.
Contrast for a moment the volume of taxpayer funded “reserves” sitting in school districts vs. the amount being slashed for the 60,000+ cyber charter public school kids across the state.

PA kids need a definitive literacy plan. Teachers need the training, skills, and supplies. Mississippi went from the bottom to the top in a few years with very little investment. We just need to get this ball rolling for the kids @GovernorShapiro.
Look at South Carolina's amazing results! Pennsylvania could follow if @GovernorShapiro steps up.
