Union workers are among the hardest working & most generous people you'll ever meet. I'll continue to support unions like @UAW & especially the graduate student workers at @Penn_State who fight to be recognized as full employees deserving of proper wages.

For the first week of school, LANTA will not ask students to present an ASD-issued ID. Until new student IDs are issued, students can use their 2024-25 school year ID or present their class schedule. See FAQs and routes: https://t.co/xxATBrNOno

Yesterday, the #PAHouse moved a #PABudget bill that reflects the priorities of Pennsylvanians and would make investments in @AllentownSD, @SalisburySchool, and @EastPennSD. While it may not be the final budget product, I'm proud of the progress and will continue working for you!

Pa. is facing a shortage of certified teachers. I’m urging the governor, the PA House, to increase funding for substitute teacher stipends. These stipends would make a huge difference in helping our teachers bear the cost of training to become certified Pennsylvania teachers.

A short time ago, Pres. Trump signed an executive order to gut the U.S. Dept. of Education. Make no mistake, this is absolutely NOT something to cheer about. We will continue to stand up for every child in PA and ensure every kid gets a fair education.

I'm appalled that President Trump plans to dismantle the U.S. Dept. of Education through executive order. This is an unprecedented and dangerous move with significant repercussions for our education system. To our students, parents and schools - I have your back in this fight!

Proficiency matters. Students must be prepared to succeed. Unfortunately, PA's cyber charter schools get a failing grade when it comes to proficiency in math & science. The state isn't getting the outcomes we're paying for and this has to change! #PABudget
