For those wishing for an end to annual clock shifting, this push in Congress is perhaps better late than never. It would still require House approval and President Biden's signature to become law.

Selenium metabolism protects them against ferroptotic insults, but a toxic intermediate formed in this process can be exploited to poison them. Congratulations co-first authors @A_Carlisle_19 , Namgyu Lee and Kim lab. @NatMetabolism Read here: https://t.co/cLEpuhCqXQ (2/2)

As expected, data emerges to explain observations of #COVID19 “reinfection”—here, most patients who were ”redetected positive” were actually never truly negative. Plus reinfection cannot be rampant if family members living together successively infect each other but all recover.
#COVID19 Important new preprint on heatedly debated "re-infection", or more accurately "re-detectable positive" patients https://t.co/M4VqdjzrrU 18/24 of RNA-negative samples tested to be positive using a hyper-sensitive method, support the notion that many RP are false negative

Good news. Rhesus macaques seem to be immune to re-challenge with SARS-CoV-2. This suggests that we are also immune once we clear the infection (serology in humans points in same direction). Not sure how long immunity lasts but likely for months or years.
