Couldn't be more deserving. I've sat through countless faculty meetings and student thesis committee meetings with Victor, and I've never seen a more naturally inquisitive scientist. As exceptional a scientist as he is, he's an even better person. Huge congratulations!

This study shows that CD20 functions to detect predator-derived odors and is required for animals to properly avoid these danger cues. In addition to its significance for olfaction, this work also has implications for B cells in which CD20 is more well known for its role.

I'm really proud of the job that they and their co-authors have done. It answers several unanswered questions that I've been wrestling with since I was a postdoc. Hao-Ching is currently looking for postdoc positions and SunJin for faculty jobs. They are both catches--hire them!

I'm delighted to share the latest work from our lab in which @HaoChingJiang1 and SungJin Park demonstrate that MS4A1/CD20 functions as a mammalian odorant receptor in a previously uncharacterized population of sensory neurons. https://t.co/84bBZ9p3BW
